Swift Canoe & Kayak had our classic boat designer David Yost create a Prospector that is similar to the legendary Chestnut Prospector in the fall of 2005. After much testing and refinement, we introduced this classic canoe with our Fusion Laminates and Trim System in the fall of 2006. Initial field reports have brought back rave reviews as to how close the boat performs to the original Cedar Canvas Chestnut Prospector. IF you are looking for a classic Prospector Canoe, a test paddle of the Swift prospector is a must.
