Fluid Flirt or Bliss-Stick Slick-Stick? 18 years 11 months ago #6288

Hey, Im just getting into the sport i've done some whitewater paddling and was keen on getting my own boat, i've narrowed it down to 2 boats, The Fluid Flirt (s) and the Bliss-Stick Slick-Stick. I am about 173cm tall and weigh about 58-60kg.

Ive never padled either of them, but looking at their hull designs, and reading the reviews, I would say it depends on what you want to be doing. If you want a boat that will be easy to learn the basic rodeo moves (cartwheel, split wheel, blunts, flat spins, etc. as well as stalling and such) I would say probably the Bliss stick, as it is a little longer, but less volume (easier to throw down). But you would probably want the Fluid for aerial stuff. Im sure you would fall in Love with either one, and it really just depends on you. One other thing, the length of the bliss stick would make it a little easier down river, but the miniscule volume might turn you into a non-consentual squirtboater. Like I said though, I think you would probably be happy with either one. Cheers and good luck with your boating!

Hey Bud,
i'm just about the same size as you and i use a small flirt, and i love it. From small play waves and holes to big volume of the Zambezi.
Haven't paddled the Bliss-stick though.

My two cents says go with the Fluid.

Good lines
