THE KAYAKKO 2011 FLIES TO ARGENTINA
It's Santiago Lo Greco the overall winner of the Second Edition of the Canoa Valsesia Film Festival which was held on 3, 4 and 5 June 2011 in Campertogno (VC)
Now in its second edition, the Canoa Valsesia Film Festival, which was held in the theater of Campertogno, saw the participation of a large audience, very attentive and involved by the quality of the documentaries presented by the spectacular images.
Santiago Lo Greco (Argentine canoeist) won the documentary with "THE LODGE III: THE LAST CHANCE." A film that goes beyond the drop-down canoe, which revolves around the concept of risk with stunning images on the rivers in India, Nepal and Norway. A group of paddlers from different countries has made possible the very first time some descents, including jumping by 20 Ruana metri. Santiago Lo Greco won for the category Extreme Kayak.
The Category Adventure Kayak was won by Evan Garcia (USA) and Andrea Scafidi with the film "V° Ola Pucon" documentary filmed in Chile characterized by a language of cinema complex and harmonious, with spectacular scenery of deep and hidden gorges.
The Canoe Trip Category was won by Walter Paesano with the documentary "In canoa verso roma”, made during the annual canoe gathering already become a "classic”. The documentary was awarded because approaching newcomers to the sport thanks to its strong educational value.
Category Water Fun, short and spectacular films, was won by Francesco Balducci and Andrea Piutti with the film “Creek Xmass" for the particularity of the downhill and hanging tough on the rivers of Liguria.
During the Festival Paolo Cignozzi (psychologist and canoeist) presented the new book by Angelo Vergani "Attrazione Fluviale” published by "Biblioteca dell’Immagine" in Pordenone. Book of narrative travel on the rivers of the world.
The Festival was held in the splendid Teatro Fra Dolcino in Campertogno, canoe Italian capital on the banks of the river Sesia, the most popular amongst canoeists from all over Europe.
