Dagger Agent vs Wavesport Project? 15 years 10 months ago #26700

Because I started this I figured I may as well start of by saying what I've got.

At the moment, I just bought a new red Dagger Agent 6.4!
As far as what I think, I have only been in it a few times so far, but I also demoed the 08 last year and from so far I LOVE IT!
It's pretty edgy which is good for carving and as a lot of you may have heard it is a really big boat, but I am 6'2 and weigh 190 (lbs) so it suits me. As far as big wave surfing I have not done a whole lot of that, but it has great pop off the wave and is quite smooth. So other than that it is great for playing around in holes and super fun for whatever wild ideas you have! It also has a really fast hull and is great for river running, so just like in the reviews, its fun and comfortable for all day paddles, fast and small which is great for catching little eddies while river running, and goes big on waves and in holes.

I also used to paddle a Wavesport Project 52, it's the boat that I learned to paddle in so I do have an attachment to those boats just because of that. As far as how it rides it was fun anywhere on the river and it was quite small with a forgiving edge so its not terribly responsive but that does help when you are trying new things is a great little playboat to learn new things in.

That's my opinion on those two boats, let's hear what you guys think?

Thanks,

Jeff

I love my Agent 64. I didn't fit in the Project 52, otherwise I bought that boat. It seemed to be the better playboat. The Project 62 felt too big, so the Agent was the best option for me.
No regrets of buying the Agent!! Its comfy, bouncy, fun to play and easy to get airborn from a wave.
Can't wait to get in it again tommorow!!

... downside of the Agent is the quality of the plastic; very soft

i have heard lot of things about the plastic and bolts come lose blah blah blah its a new boat stuff comes lose tighten it and for the plastic yea things have been said but its like some people like jackson and not wave sports some like dagger and not jacksons its just bantar if you ask me ,even if it is soft it means it is less likely to crack like the the hard plastic but it will dent but you can get dents out but not cracks there my input :) it may anser some questions .
