Boat Review: Review by Rick: Liquid Logic Huck

I am look'in at a used Huck and was wondering if any of you had any feedback regarding likes/dislikes about this boat.

I am 5'10' and 170#. Have not paddled it yet since my area is still snow/icebound.

Thanks,
John aka Leif :)

You are too big for it. Look at a Jefe, nomad 8.5, big solo.... Huck isnt a very good design so dont feel bad.

You should fit in just about any creeker, but it all depends on how you like your boat to sit in the water. Other than the JK Punk Rocker and the Jefe Chico, most of the creekboat weight ranges are somewhere around 100 to 200 for the small versions, and the larges like the Jefe Grande are 170-290 lb. weight range. I like the solo as far as speed/maneuverability, but I am not too fond of the outfitting (whenever I roll, the backband slips towards the seat, I have replaced the hip pads with WS FAT hip pads).

I totally agree with Nathan here. We named it Stuck instead of Huck :P
