Need your advice on Freestyle PFD's. What are your recommendations?
Any recomendations on US Coast Guard approved Freestyle PFDs

I'm rather fond of my lotus designs, which I believe has been shut down by Patagonia. Patagonia looks to have just taken them over and placed their logo on the same pfds, though. I would recommend the lolita or the rio frio. All are coast guard approved. Just head to the patagonia site.

Have you thought about the Palm Fusion?
I paddle with one and it works well as an all round PFD

I playboat and surf with a kokatat Orbit Tour - It's light, incredibly comfy, doesn't restrict movement in any direction, its got two nice sized packets in front, I keep a waterproof camera in one and earplugs, river knife and all those little bits in the other.
