Question:

Who paddles/has paddled one of the 08' LL jefes'? I need a creeker and this is my short list.

1 LL Jefe Grande
2 JK Mega Rocker
3 Pyranha Everest
4 Fluid Solo L

Looking for someone else to weigh in as they charge $20 to demo a boat around here and $80 of demoing is pretty steep!

Stats:

6ft 1
250-260 lbs (110-115kg)
32inch inseam
US 10 (eu 42) feet

I paddle class 3-4 with some 5s... Looking to get into creeking and need a good creeker...

Cheers

As you know, my choice would be the large Fluid Solo:

That's a shame that you've got to pay to demo a boat. Never heard of that. I'm sure you'd enjoy the Solo though... ;-) Good luck and have fun deciding! It's always awesome to get a new boat. And BTW, happy new year :roflol:

Awesome. I'm sure you'll love it. The stiffness of the hull is something that most other creek boats don't have... and of course it's just plainly awesome. But you can be the judge of that.

Here in SA this shop sells the plugs:
www.canoekayak.co.za/

They are really cheap, I bought one as a backup a while back but have never needed to use it. Otherwise contact Fluid in SA on: [mail address protected from spambots with javascript] .

Or try these dealers in North America:

Good luck!

I know a lot of people that paddle the Jefe and will swear by it i paddled it once or twice on a short strip of creek and worked out great. I would recommend the Jefe.

I must say I'm liking my habitat 74 and my friend has the 80 is liking his too. very responsive comfortable not too heavy, another friend has just got a Everest and is liking it so far this is mainly due to him being 6ft6ish and solidly built and he fits inside comfortable with ease no shoe horn required.
