Jackson Happy Feet installation? 18 years 1 month ago #14402

Hi folks. New to the board (and to whitewater kayaking)!

I just got a used Jackson 2Fun and I'm not sure the Happy Feet is installed correctly. I've read a bunch of material on the Jackson site and searched the web, but I still need a bit of help.

So...there are two parts to the bag: the part with the beans, and the part that seems to just be an air bladder. Which way is it supposed to go? Right now, it's just kinda crammed in there.

Any help appreciated!

The air bag is meant to be at the front of your boat and the beanbag next to your feet. The idea is to inflate the air bag so it is touching you feet, the pop out inflate the bean bag bit and slide into your boat moving the beans around your feet and squeezing all the air out It should feel quite snug, firm and holds its shape.

NOw with the airbag inflate it for a firmer positoning for playing etc and let the air out for gentler sections to let the blood flow back to your toes

HAve fun and welcome to the fun sport :)

You may also want to register your boat @ Jackson Kayaks. When you do register request a Demo CD. You should get the 2006 Demo CD which has a section were Eric Jackson demostrates the use of Happy Feet.

Once you get the air out of the bead section it also helps to suck the extra air out of that section before you close the valve. Should fit like a glove... if it doesn't your doing something wrong. No worries, you will figure it out.
Go to the jackson website, their is a very detailed expanation on how to.

HI,
I paddle an all-star and a rocker, the all-star has happy feet to, the air bladder goes in front it is what pumps up to adjust the\"foot pegs\"
. THe bean bag, you blow some air in and mush up the beans, then, \"whie in boat\", push your feet, as with what ever if anything you wear on your feet, so it fits and makes a pocket for yor feet, then suck the air out, close the vlave to keep it out and your done
Oh, then pump the air bladder to adjust from there
