Your not going to believe this! Just when you thought waterfall records were safe, Gizmo, the mysterious paddler from Norway has blown us all away! We had previously been worried that releasing this footage would encourage the wrong direction in kayaking, but it appears its OK. We would like to point out that Gizmo was seriously hurt on this run and would NOT recommend a 2nd Descent attempt.

The first fall here must be at least 50 meters, we didn't have a throw bag long enough to measure it!
Stritly speaking it is not a fee-fall record, as Giz did deflect off some rock on the way down, but this was intended to help him set up the landing...

The funny thing is how stressed out people have become over this waterfall issue.

Our Gizmo is OBVIOUSLY a dummy, this was a film made for a vid comp a few years ago. But after reading all the posts after Armins original Rekord Post I thought I would share it with you all.

I met Felix last year as he flew past me on the 'portage' on the Travo whilst I was scouted the line. He confirmed the line and made it look easy, by himself, whilst 50 people did the normal portage on the left back.

Now, I am not going to express my opinion on Felix's waterfall claim, but what I will say is - if anyone expects anyone to believe the video footage is real, then it does need backing up.
If you cant back it up, then don't get upset that people will think it is not true.
If there is footage other than the 1st and 2nd descent clips then that would probably do it. The footage presented so far is not convincing, even if you did get to see it at full resolution.

There are so many comments about this its unreal, but there has been no conclusion - still most people are skeptic. There is no point just stating 'that is the record, thats that' when so many people are questioning it. Unless there is unquestionable footage etc to show otherwise I am afraid this claim will be viewed the same as our Gizmo or the 'Pain Killers' by most.
