I think that is a really difficult question to answer because there are so many different body types, and styles of boating, not to mention the various types of playboating.
So I think it boils down to personal preference, really.

But if you had to ask me (and this is not too biased at all ) I would say hold on till the Fluid Nemesis comes out...this machine rocks.

mmm, Well thats a toughy. I'm gonna have to tell you my favorites of all time but i'll keep it as recent as possible.

i've been paddling the Nemesis for the last coupla months and thus far its blown me away. So that is clearly my choice for #1.
Then it would be the Fluid Flirt, and that is not meaning to be biased for Fluid, but it was the design i did most of my progressing in, so #2.
Next i'd say the ZG from wavesport, i've used it a number of times and each time i was extremely impressed by it, goes huge and very forgiving. (i haven't used the Project though).
Next i'd say the Riot Turbo, its so fast although not very forgiving. But it's great if you want to learn the flip turn or helix. The Astro is very different and also a fantastic design.
Finally, the Riot Disco. It was the boat to kick start the airial revolution and was the boat i learnt to roll, flatwater cartwheel and bowstall in. It can still hold its own on a wave or in hole despite being 7 years old.

Bare in mind these are all my personal opinion and other folk's opinions will differ radically.

1. Riot astro 58 (hands down best playboat I've used for my size)
2. Wavesport Project
3. Dagger crazy 88 (I learned a lot in that boat)
4. Riot turbo (awesome on waves)
5. Dagger Kingpin (its been around for years and its still winning comps)

Now where's corran to list five dragorossi boats?

We are talking playboats here, right, so pure performance.....

1. DragoRossi Squashtail (unkown to most: it loops very well)
2. DragoRossi Fish
3. Riot Disco (classic)
4. Dagger Kingpin (original one, not the icon)
5. LL Pop (much smoother and faster than the new ones)

I really enjoyed the Turbo I had but it felt a bit watered down, like it couldn't decide what it wanted to be. Certainly a good training boat for my next boat which was the Fish.

the new Dagger Agent looks very well

I think its about paddler not the boat
