Lol, hey whats up Im new to kayaking and have gone many times on other kayaks and Im now certain i want to buy one.I want something cheap but not a piece of junk good for lakes and for over night trips Im 5'7 and weigh 100 pounds (a teenager) just wanted to know what would be a decent kyak im also into survival camping. And outoors in general. What would be a good kayak?

how about a open canoe such as a mad river intrigue freedom etc great for wild camping

well, since you want something cheap, and for lakes, you can buy most any big used boat, as long as it's cheap and not broken i'd say... just don't buy a whitewater of freestyle boat, a polo boat, a squirt boat, or an open canoe (since you don't want one of those). If it's cheap enough, you can still sell it again and buy something else once you have a more detailed understanding of your demands.... :)

Well, doesn't sound like you need a whitewater boat. Whitewater boats are tough for beginners to paddle strait and they can be tippy. Check out a recreational/touring boat. Dagger makes some decent ones, so does wilderness systems

depending on how many nights out and the amount of stuff you pack why not look at the dagger Blackwater 10.5 with the hatch, Perception acadia, liquid logic pisgah and take it from there

personally i use open canoes for multi day touring trips because you can move around easier stand up and stretch whilst moving, re trim the boat easily by moving bags around oh and you can sleep under one! and run decent rivers in them up to grade 3/4 quite happily!
