[color=cyan:38d1147db4]The HOG lock system works pretty schweet! I've got the the Shred Ready Full Mental Jacket. I'm not happy with the quality though. The helmet is lined with foam throughout in several different sections and is already coming off on one side. (I've used it about 3 times) The pads that you get to line the helmet for a better fit are attached using a velcro system. Some of the velcro tabs are double sided and attach to any piece. Others are one-sided and glued straight onto the pads already. This glue is not very efective and on some it is coming off already. The foam that lines the helmet is covered with a kind of fabric to which the velcro can stick to and this too is coming off on one side.
Other than that the helmet fits well and does not move on my head. Apart from the internal fittings problem, the helmet is well built and will take some abuse. Perhaps I just got unlucky with my purchase and got a dud. These things can happen... Both helmets are good. I've never heard anthing bad being said about the Strutter. I have read (Paddles - March '06) that the Sweet helmets are manufactured to the highest standards and do not compromse on quality. Tough choice between the two...
Just another note:
Some helmets are more expensive than others, this is true. It also seems to play a major deciding factor in the choice of which helmet to buy, but it shouldn't. [not perhaps in this case
