I might add that this whole part of California is a great spot to paddle no matter what level of kayaker you are. The Salmon has a wide variety of whitewater and I make it my training grounds every march/april. Even if you don't want to do the kayak school, this part of northern California is a great introductory area to the much harder whitewater in the sierras. Also good play spots. Since it's going to be a while before I can paddle hard class V again (just broke my back) i'll be posted up here editing the new movie for the next 4 months or so. Hit me up if your rolling through the area or have any other questions about California.... I'm living 2.5 hours from the nearest sizeable town, in the wilderness, with pretty much no one to paddle with except my dad. Good environment for healing the back, working on the movie, and making my music though...
Hope all is good,
