Me and My Friend Chris Think It Is Disgraceful That They Have Banned People From Kayaking Down The 300ft Llyn Brianne Dam. A Few Kayakers Recently Did This And That Is The Reason They Banned People Doing It. The Media Made The Kayakers Who Did This Seem Pure Evil. They Portray Us As Recless, Dangerous (Well Ok Kayaking Is Quite Dangerous To Be Fair), Crazy And Irresponsible. In This Day And Age, People Are Getting Beatun Up And Killed For What Football Team They Support, You Would Think That People Actually Doing Something And Not Just Sitting Round In There House Thinking "Ohh I Cant Be Bovered", Would Be Praised, But No. They Are Critisied And Our Sport Is Being Portrayed Badly Once Again. Those Kayakers That Originally Went Down This Dam, Should Be Praised As Hero's For Pushing The Boundaries Of What Is Possible In A Kayak.
This Is Why Me And My Friend Chris Have Created A Group On Facebook To Support Kayaking At Llyn Brianne Dam. www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=51613122742&ref=ts
Maybe Someday We Will Get Thousands Of Kayakers To Meet At The Dam And Descend It, To Show Them That Kayakers And Canoeist (But I Dont Think That A Canoe Would Be Able To Past The Wave At The Bottom) Want To Push The Boundaries Of There Sport In Search Of Bigger And Bigger Thrills. And They If It Doesnt Harm Anyone But Themselves (Maybe) They Should Be Allowed To Do It.
Please Join We Need All The Support Possible.
Thank You For Reading And Joining (Hopefully)
