Ahoi the world.
I am looking for some help from any body with an opinion relating too what the best elbow and forearm protection for paddling(creeking) is. Here in good old South Africa good paddling gear is available, what I cant seem to find is good elbow and forearm protection . Any suggestions on brands/models of elbow and forearm protection will be greatly appreciated.

Six-one makes some good elbow pads that come up along the radius too... stay put really well

Shred Ready and NRS make some too

Pro-tec makes some, but they appear to have no solid pieces, just cloth and padding: www.nrsweb.com/shop/product_list.asp?deptid=1102 .

I use these: www.sixsixone.com/Catalog_661Bike.aspx?i...b4-bcf0-0db6f5994a84

had them a couple of seasons always stayed in place saved me from some hard knocks no complaints.

Hope that helps.

Also use the SixSixOne 2x4. Have had a pair for over 2 years, great coverage, good ease of movement, elastic has kept it's shape, never dried them properly and they don't stink!

Just go to any decent mountain bike shop and look at the downhill protection gear. You will probably also find the SixSixOne gear that the previous posts have mentioned.

I think I've also got those same Thor pads Philip. With the sleeve and velcro cross things:

Same? Fit quite well and give good coverage. The outer plastic is in two parts - one for the elbow one for the forearm. They are not made as one piece (like some pads) and don't hinder movement. Preparing for the upcoming season Deon? :cheer:

I use the six six one's with the mesh sleeve, They are great when I don't have to squeeze them over a drytop, and they are alright over my drytop also but I don't like feeling constriction in my forearm when im paddling
