always choked with logs, this small river in the northern part of Connecticut is rarely run. I got a couple of photos of the two drops that did not have wood in them so that people can get a better idea of what this thing really looks like.
There is some easier (relatively) stuff on the top half, then a mandatory big portage around a double drop that would be difficult if each one were a singe drop. After that, the real adventure begins with the steepest part. I suspect that, as this thing gets run a littl more often (and we clear some of the wood out of it), most paddlers will just hike up from the bottom and paddle the section below the portage, since that is where most of the action is.
