I personally prefer a seperate cag and deck, because if you damage one you don´t damage the other. I don´t know the cag decks out there but you should get a kevlar reinforced deck. I have had normal neophren decks which last maby one season but for the last 3-4 years I have used the same kevlar snap dragon deck, and the kevlar still looks new.

I agree with this post  Seperate cag (dry top) and deck and go for a Kevlar deck. I've taken some knocks on my deck. Another one this past weekend - small tear on the Kevlar which otherwise would have ripped right through a normal deck I'm sure. They only downside if that they can occasionally remove skin off of your knuckles/fingers if you knock or scrape your hands against the deck which happens from time to time.. Well for me anyway but I'd hardly call that a negative aspect to these types of decks. Well enough :blah: . have fun on the river! :roflol:
