Maximum Paddler Weight

The first design to feature a semi-planing hull that lets it surf well (for an old kayak) and perform the older play moves (enders, etc.
). An adequate river-runner for a small to medium sized person. If the same sized person is used to full displacement hull kayaks, they would find this a good intermediate step between old and new school playboats.

About Me
I am 6'1" and 160 lbs, this was my first kayak. This boat is pretty much barely big enough for me, but it was still comfortable enough (much more than the cramped playboats) for me. For someone my size, i would recommend looking for something bigger if you could, however.
Pros / The Good
easy to roll, very fast and easy to accelerate. if the wave or hole is big enough you can catch it to surf some, but it's too long for most anything else.
Cons / The Bad
the front of the boat is angled down and is therefore submerged very often. Even more so when you lean forward, which you need to do to keep the low-volume stern from getting played with by the current.

Pros / The Good
Good versatile river runner with good hull speed. Great for surfing medium to larger size waves
Cons / The Bad
Too long for short steep waves (Not a short playboat)
