Jack Frost arrived last evening

I walk around the Frame lake trail every day and was surprised yesterday when I saw Frame lake. The day before she was open water and yesterday afternoon a sheet of (very thin) ice. Now the small lakes will freeze quickly as the temperature dips but the ice will not be safe of people for awhile yet. The weather is cold enough to freeze but not cold enough for building good ice. Like fine wine, good ice takes time. Time to start packing the throw bag and ice picks on my daily walks. |some folks just plain refuse to stay off the ice until it is safe.
Yesterday was a very fine fall day not to cold and the windswere down . Sun wold have been nice but we can't have everything.
Today here is Thanksgiving day and I hope that you all have a fine day with family and friends or however you choose to spend it. I have a few sops to make and them dinner with Barbie-doll and John. Thanksgiving and Christmas we always spend together.
I will also be crossing the equator arond 08:00 hours MST and the timiing is perfect. I will have Thanks giving day dinner and offer pat of it to Neptune for my safe passage across the equator.The Clipper around the world sailing race leg two is going well for me. Winds are steady and all the boats in my area are maintaing their positions because we are all travelling at very similar speeds. In just gained 98 places and thats grand. I am slowly working my way towards the front. Now less than 15,000 virtual boats between me and winning. There are also 30,000 virtual boats chasing me so the race is still on.
On the Trans Canada trail Virtual walk I am now 7,350,000 steps into it and about 10 days walking from North Battleford Saskatchewan. This is a great way tolog my daily walking count and I like watching the red trail line that I am following turn from red to green after I add my total for the day. Next stop after North Battleford will be Saskatoon where I have friends to visit.
