What started in May has a quick fundrasier is finally over as we pullled the tickets finishing about four hours ago. As I type this there aresome very happy ticket holders, one now the owner of 40 k worth of custom motorcycle and the second place winner a 42 inch LCD TV. There were also seven winners of Harleys Hardrock Saloon apparell.
This was a reverse draw and the last two tickets in the drum were the big prize winners. We started to draw tickets at 16:00 hours and the process lasted 3 hours.
This is a fun way to raffle something off as the excitement builds as the drum grows empty and your ticket is still in the running. When your down to the last ten tickets or so folks are gettng really excited even if they have already gone out.
There is of course the paper work to do and the transferring of the bike ownership, all of this will be completed by Wednesday.
The Paddlers would like to thank everyone that took part in the raffle and ticket selling, the guys from Hay River did a fantastic job and we're sorry that all their work was to no avail, Hay River won no prizes which was unfortunate. Chris Flannagan from Harleys did a great job pulling the tickets and Greg was pretty darn busy pasting them up to the boards.
Most of all we thank all those that decided to support us with their hard earned cash buy taking a chance and buying a ticket. The folks of the North came through with flying colours and even those that lost were smiling for the winners.
The proceeds will support both the Center for Northern Families and the Paddlers for Parts Association. Proceeds from this event will be spent in the North supporting Northerns in need and win or lose your money was every well spent and we thank you. Without the support of the locals in these events our ship would be sunk.
we turned a certified cheque ovver to the Center for Northern Families two days ago for 6,400.00 dollars and they were very pleased to see it.The center is very low on funds and were pleased to be able to assist.

The AGM will be held if and only if the sun comes out as we don't want to sit in the rain and hold the meeting. Cheers, Greg
