Canada Day, only hours away from Yellowknife and we are ready.

July One the Big day for Canada and I really hope our weather improves for the Parade tomorrow. The wind is up and we are totally clouded over but the rain has yet to appear. I'm hoping that this will blow over during the night and that sunny skies will grace the parade. Parades in Yellowknife are great fun and although small to some places we make up for size with spirit.
The folks at Harleys are running a float in the parade this year and they are great at tossing out the candies to the kids. Chris has been working on this all day and I'm interested in seeing what they came up with. I may be joning the crew on the float, I would like the Paddlers to design their own but they are a hard bunch to track down. Still if I'm not on the float I will be in the crowd cheering them on. After all Canada comes but once a year. Cheers folks, Greg.

Canada Day today!
Warm day here 29c quite clouded over here right now did hit 34c today and was sunny for the most part, looks like we might have some rain / thundershowers this eve. though.Took my wife and kids for a picnic at the beach this eve for supper by the lake. Busy little town this is. Parade?? tomorrow.. on the 2nd?? or is this dated incorrectly? :) we had our parade today from what I hear. I chose to work and take tomorrow off instead. Heading out of town tomorrow for the day. Hopefully get in the water and do some kayaking late tomorrow. Two days without kayaking.. I think I am going through withdraws. Hope you had a great Canada Day Greg.

I Leave you with a pic of the Air Show at Okanagan Lake yesterday.
