Rob nice to see your photos and thats a nice color, i have mentioned a cover for the Triak, i have found one by "danue" that might work although i,m not sure about the front. I saw it on the MEC web site (this is a canadian co-op dealer) the cover is said to be for kayaks 18-20 feet long, still not that cheap but several hundred lower than Triak,s. I have a large tarp and was or still am considering trying to make one.

Hello John, I have the same designed foil as on your boat. Does he have a picture of his foil or is really talking about the bolt that holds the foil on. The early design was faulty in that knob would rotate around the bolt with any amount of tension. Rob

ROB, Tim Donavan has recently joined the forum and he has a Triak with a different style of foil to what i have and his is "rotatable" and "stuck" don,t know if you can advise him. I have just put photos of my fixed foil on my photo page.

ROB thank you for the info, one problem i think with car topping the Triak is protecting the sail as i don,t fancy driving at highway speeds with it exposed to the elements. I live near small lakes that are ok to practice on but to go to any lake requires car topping, big lakes are some distance away. Triak sell a cover but it,s about $700 and that seems a lot for what it is and at that price they won,t sell many, there,s a seperate cover for the wing. Some time ago i started a Triak group but after a while i deleted it as there was no interest. There is supposed to be three Triaks in Ontario including mine but i have not found any way to contact them.

ROB i just lookedn up the Hobie Trifoiler and thats no kayak with sails over 200 sq ft and designed to break the speed sailing record, now thats moving.Another member has a Triak, John of Marbury AL but he dosn,t comment much which is a pity, my Triak goes into the water "soon" but with household problems it,s not as easy as it should be considering where i live and we only get 16 to 20 weeks each summer to paddle or sail. If you can comment about your experiences in the Triak i,m sure people would be interested.Another member was considering one but has now decided on one of the Hobie craft.

ROB i see you have a Triak, i assume it is the sailing triak formerly made in canada now built in the US, i don,t know if you know but triak are asking owners about there experiences with the boat and soon a triak web site should be available. There are photo,s of mine on my photo page.
