Playak.net and Playak.com

It's funny how playak.net has created its own dynamics over the past 3 years. When I started it, playak.com didn't have many social and community features, and getting all this started on playak.net was a matter of 60 minutes (thanks to ning.com).

Playak.com did already have some social features back then (forums, friend system, blogs), so my idea was that everything on playak.com should be qualified content, as opposed to a total anarchy on playak.net. Luckily, Guy and Greg are watchi… Continue

Get you full blown blog at PaddleBlogs.com

For those of you who want a 'real' blog, complete with a nice and simple blog address, and much more control over the blog features and design, I just launched a completely new website: PaddleBlogs.com.

Enjoy,

Flags for regional groups

If you want to create a regional group and need a nice graphic for it, have a look at http://www.flags.net . It has all national flags, but also what they call sub-national flags for states etc. Looks quite complete...

My other choice was the Immersion Research dry suit and I went with the Kokatat because thebMEC had one I could try on and I was in the store this morning. I hate to spend that kind of money on a mail order suit that may not firn quite right. Price was close and I now have it. The paddle was there right beside the duit and somehow fellinto the shopping bag soI had to keep it.. Looking forwadd to getting both wet somtime today Cheers and regards to Helix Greg

Just a comment:
First off I love the albums feature on Playak.

Is there a way to attach/upload a GPX file of your trip to the albums?

It would be great to have a Map in the album itself that shows your track where the pictures have been taken. I see that it is possible to attach a mapview on each individual picture. That's a handy feature.

All my new gear and the squirt boat are here now and we have open water as well. this should make a good combination to learn squirting. I have some pool time available (and warm) which is also good. Cheers, Greg

Hi there Jeroen!
I´ve been trying to log onto playak.com. It´s just not working out. I admit that I´m not the best man with computers but............this shouldn´t be a problem.

Do I need a new identity there (username & password) ?

cheers

Hey J
Good idea, I think this will make finding paddling contacts a little easier. Then we can carpool more and use less petro. Plus its worldwide baby!
