We are in the desert! "You will find that the Sonoran Desert extends into Canada from Osoyoos Lake to Skaha Lake and then westward up the Similkameen Valley towards Keremeos. The desert is approximately 15 miles long. The average rainfall is less than 12 inches per year and summer temperatures can rise to over 100 degrees." Comment by KAYAKokanagan on January 12, 2013 at 1:25am Skaha Lake today was mostly calm. With a temp of about 0c. After a week of snow and overcast skies it was nice to see. Paddled on the North end of the lake today. The sky as you can see was awesome, the blue sky was too inviting to pass up.
